Remember, if you're sending us a query use the application online form.  Remember, it's our first impression of you and your talent - so take the extra time to do it well.  If it's just a question, still write it well.  Imagine, as a publisher, you receive an email asking about an aspect of how it works to submit a book.  Imagine that this innocent email has numerous spelling errors, typos, poor construction, and other issues.  Perhaps the email doesn't include a salutation or a greeting.  Perhaps it rambles.  Now imagine you're a publisher who receives hundreds of emails a day.  Get the idea?

So, we communicate via email, and thereby get to see your literary abilities from our first contact with you. 

So why not Email?
